Paws At Play Veterinary Hospital

I am very impressed with Dr. Stall and the staff at Paws At Play. They offer comprehensive veterinary care at the hospital, as well as boarding and day care for your fur babies. I’m so happy they’re in the neighborhood and to have found them. Mylo loves Dr. Stall and staff, he does so well here. Previously, we received services at Vetco & Walmart’s VetIQ clinic for years where he did not feel comfortable. They advised he be prescribed Trazadone to keep him calm. When visiting Dr. Stall, we have never had an issue. I appreciate that Dr. Stall is ethical and does not overstep by offering unnecessary procedures or medicine. Pricing is transparent and scheduling is made easy. I appreciate the staff for not trying to upsell me on services. Mylo completed a dental exam here for the first time. I loved how easy it was to email Mylo’s records. Dr. Stall and staff were welcoming and he responded well to staff and the new environment. I was extremely nervous about scheduling a dental cleaning procedure. For dogs it is a surgical procedure that entails anesthesia to complete the cleaning. Mylo did well and the appointment was quick. Once complete Dr. Stall called me to review the outcome and emailed me photos and a discharge summary. Pick Up is well organized and staff is professional and knowledgeable about questions. The dogs that attend boarding and day care here are treated so well. They are like family here to staff it appears. They’re like little people. You can tell they adore the staff at Paws At Play. Thank you Dr. Stall.

I had a really upsetting experience at this vet and will not be returning. I brought my cat in for a routine visit and blood work. While he was in the back, I heard him howling and hissing — behavior I have never experienced with him at any other vet, even during blood draws. It was extremely distressing to hear and made me feel awful that he was so scared and uncomfortable. When the nurse brought him back, it was very abrupt and cold. She simply said, “He doesn’t like getting his blood drawn, you probably heard him. You’re all set.” There was no reassurance, no explanation, and no compassion — for either my cat or me. He was clearly upset afterward, and I could immediately tell he’d had a rough experience. On top of that, the doctor made me feel judged for still mixing a small amount of regular food into his prescription diet because he won’t eat it otherwise. Instead of offering support or alternatives, I felt shamed, which only added to the frustration. What made this even harder was watching the staff be noticeably warmer and more affectionate with another cat immediately after us. It was a stark contrast and left me feeling dismissed and unwelcome. I left feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and heartbroken for my cat. I’ve already decided to find a different vet where both pets and owners are treated with kindness and empathy.

Best Vet I've gone to. My dog hates people and other dogs, and could be annoying, but they take care of him and treat him very nicely and he warms up to them (a bit), until I hold him again, then its all barks. But very nice, professional and caring staff. 100% recommend.
